General terms and conditions of use for services provided by Praia Formosa Camping.
This document governs the terms and conditions of use for services provided by Praia Formosa Camping, operated by:

Reservations may be made online, by phone, email, or in person, subject to availability.
- Reservation is confirmed upon payment of a deposit of at least 30%, unless otherwise agreed
- The remaining balance must be paid in full by check-in
- Staying beyond check-out time without authorization may result in additional charges
- Guests must respect the rules of coexistence, hygiene, and safety on the premises
- Campfires and grills are prohibited outside designated areas
- Quiet hours between 11:45 PM and 7:00 AM
- Pets allowed with prior authorization, under constant supervision and without causing disturbances
- Bungalows are provided clean with bed linen included
- Linen and towel change included for stays longer than 4 nights
- Maximum occupancy per unit must not be exceeded
- Damage to bungalows or equipment will be charged to the lead guest on the reservation
- Tents and caravans must be set up in designated areas only
- Keep the area clean and dispose of trash in the appropriate containers
- Electrical hookups for tents/caravans are subject to availability
- We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings on the premises
- We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove guests who violate these rules or disrupt the operation of the campsite
- In the event of force majeure (natural events, government orders, etc.), exceptional measures may be taken, including temporary closure
Available subject to seasonal availability:
- Bar and restaurant
- Equipment rental — bicycles, surfboards, scooters
- Sports activities and themed events
Guests must comply with the specific participation and safety requirements for each activity.
Personal data collected during the reservation process is handled in accordance with the GDPR and used solely for:
- Stay management
- Guest communication
In the event of a dispute, the courts of Vila do Porto shall have exclusive jurisdiction, with the waiver of any other.
A reservation is considered confirmed upon partial or full payment, in accordance with the rate conditions selected by the guest.
Reservations made under a non-refundable rate are not eligible for any refund in the event of:
- Cancellation
- No-show
- Trip modification
- Transportation disruption or inability to reach the destination
The accommodation accepts no responsibility for cancellations, delays, operational changes, missed connections, strikes, technical limitations, aircraft unavailability, or any failure of air, sea, or land transportation — including operations by SATA/Azores Airlines or any other carrier.
- Inability to reach the destination due to transportation issues does not constitute a breach by the accommodation
- Such situations do not automatically entitle the guest to a refund
Whenever the accommodation remains operational and available for check-in on the reserved dates, the contracted service is deemed to have been made available to the guest.
As a goodwill gesture, the accommodation may allow date changes or issue a credit for future use, subject to:
- Availability and seasonality
- Any applicable rate difference
- Management's sole discretion
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance with coverage for:
- Trip cancellations and flight interruptions
- Missed connections
- Adverse weather conditions
- Airline operational changes
By confirming the reservation, the guest declares to have read and fully accepted these terms — including the Reservations, Cancellations, and Transportation Policy.
